Portability

Terminal Illness Rider – Included at no extra premium cost. This very important feature Accelerates payment of the life insurance death benefit in the event of the employee’s future terminal illness diagnosis (with 12 months or less to live) or loss from specified critical illnesses. For the terminal illness benefit, the maximum advance is $150,000 based on the benefit amount selected.

Late entrants may be subjected to health questions to determine eligibility.

Limited Indemnity

The Group Limited Indemnity insurance policy pays certain medical expenses at a specific benefit amount for a limited number of days, as defined by your plan. You may opt for coverage for your spouse or child(ren). You are eligible for this coverage (regardless of your health status), and you do not have to answer any medical questions to qualify for coverage.

Manhattan Life Accident

Voluntary accident insurance provides a range of fixed, lumpsum benefits for injuries resulting from a covered accident. An Accident plan offers coverage for accidents, injuries, ambulance services, and accidental death in addition to your primary medical insurance. It is also available to your spouse and children – a plan that can protect your whole family. When you or a covered family member has an Accident, you may seek treatment from a physician, urgent care or hospital. Based on the Accident plan you choose, you will receive a benefit paid directly to you to assist with medical plan deductibles and bills from your provider. Unum Whole Life Insurance

Whole Life Insurance can pay money to your loved ones when you die, but it offers additional value - including a "living" benefit. If you are diagnosed with a terminal illness that gives you a short life expectancy , you can request that some or all of the death benefit be paid to you while you are living.
